In the studio: mixology party

Last week Bri Emery made a post about this lovely party. When you look through the images you can imagine the rest! I had a big pleasure to be asked by Bri and two very talented girls from Bash Please to design an invitation for The Mixology Party. The idea was to create an abstract illustration (yay! my fave!) in earthy tones and inspired by elements. There was a cocktail party so of course I decided to draw bottles and glasses. I was looking for a few inspirations first and this is how I created this lil moodboard (above). Another inspiration was Casa de Perrin and their beautiful flatware&glasses. How about font? Well, it's not the first time when I used my hand lettering which I call "clumsy font". It was created over two years ago while working on a project for friends. I still love using it!

I the beginning: nothing else but chaos. It's so typical that I create a lot of little illustrations I never use.

Experimenting with "clumsy font". Is it a good idea to split "party" here? Not really.

The final version. We got it!
